What ‘off-market’ really means
A short note on a phrase that is used far more often than it is meant.
Words by
Isabel Ferrer

Off-market should mean that a home is offered privately, to a small number of qualified buyers, with the owner’s explicit agreement. Too often it means a listing that simply has not been photographed yet.
At Luce the distinction matters. When we say a home is off-market, it has never been advertised, and it never will be unless the owner changes their mind.
